Lorrie (Lorraine) Lopez (Bonds)
I got out of Colorado as soon as we graduated, went to Prescott College and got a degree in environmental education. I actually used that degree for 10 years as an instructor and course director for Outward Bound. I met my husband of 40 years there. To raise kids I took a serpentine path from accounting through business coaching and finally a master's degree in psychology. This gave me an in to be an Ombuds at Los Alamos National Laboratory for 17 years, while still hiking, kayaking, skiing, and rafting on vacations.
I am happily retired now. Our kids live in Hawaii (a marine biologist for NOAA) and Maryland (working for our Senator). We have three amazing grandchildren and one on the way. Therefore, I split my time between both coasts and hiking with the doggies here in the Sangre de Cristos.
Not sure I'll make it this summer. It's great to see your faces, old and new (how's that for a reversal?). I remember more than I knew I remembered!
